The A2O partnership is led by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Ecoacoustics Research Group, in collaboration with Birdlife Australia.

This leading collaborative research also involves important relationships with the universities represented by the Chief Investigators —Charles Sturt University (CSU), James Cook University (JCU), the University of New England (UNE), and the University of Queensland (UQ).
Other A2O stakeholders include universities across Australia, National Parks and other government bodies, the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network (TERN), Traditional Owners, the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), Bush Heritage Australia (BHA), the Tasmanian Land Conservancy and other private conservation organisations, and several private landholders.
